Opera In the Park was so awesome! If I'd continued to pursue singing, I'd like to be as good as Ruth Ann Swenson. She's such a good soprano. The selections were from "Don Giovanni", "Madame Butterfly", "La Boheme", "Faust", "La Traviata", and a few other operas. It was great - aside from the freezing cold, foggy weather until 1, and the burning hot weather thereafter. Gosh darn, I love opera!

Also, Golden Gate Park rules, and the gross bathrooms are funny. The stall I chose had "Beef: It's what's rotting in your colon" written on the wall. Fun fun!

Also, thanks to Jason, we now have tickets to see Tom Jones at The Fillmore on December 19th. You may find it odd, but I've seen Tom Jones before, and he does put on an entertaining show. My dear sister has a ginormous crush on Tom Jones, and she's dragging me and Jason along, too. Aside from an ALL concert that we dragged her to, she's never been to a show where there's no seats, and she's counting on our expertise to get to the front, so that Tom Jones will sweat on her. Ugh.

Also, Dave Matthews sucks. I don't have anything against him personally, but, darn it, there was free Dave Matthews Band at Golden Gate Park, too, which made everything a bit messier than usual. Jason's pissed at Dave Matthews, too. No parking anywhere on Geary. It's like half the city swarmed towards Golden Gate Park today. It was kind of humorous, b/c you could distinguish between the opera fans and the Dave Matthews fans right away. Guy in AE shirt? Dave Matthews! Old woman with toy poodle? Opera!
