I'm packed and am moving on Saturday. Since the job at the university ended, I decided to take Bev up on the offer of moving in. It will be different as I've lived alone for nearly 30 years.
The job market is a different creature nowadays. Everyone ones you to have a Bachelor's degree which means I haven't heard back from many employers. Now that I am unemployed, I may have to search out the contract/freelance path. Not what I wanted to do at this stage of my life, but I may have no choice.
On in unrelated item, I have decided to take one more stab at learning a second language. I have joined my brother in attempted to learn Italian. We are taking the Pimsleur program and it seems to be doing good. But I know that many people who have learned English said they learned a lot by watching American TV. So off I went looking for Italian TV.
I found some but the vast majority of it is news and football [soccer]. Difficult to understand at best.
But then I found a channel on line advertising shows like T J Hooker, The A-Team, and The Six Million Dollar Man. Then CSI: Special Victims Unit started. I think I found exactly what I was looking for. Familiar shows in Italian. This will greatly assist in the learning process...
