I hardly ever write here. I don't think many people read my journal... maybe 5? Haha. Oh well.
Anyone watch the Kentucky Derby yesterday? So sad... the one filly (clarification for non-horse lovers: that's a female horse, which is rare in the Kentucky Derby) who ran the race came in second, and then broke both her front legs! I don't know how that happened. She must have tried to stop suddenly or something. Even one broken leg is something that horses very often don't recover from because when they heal they won't put pressure on that leg, therefore increasing pressure on all 3 remaining legs which then causes problems all over the good legs. So, given the diagnosis of 2 broken legs, the vets immediately put her down right on the track! :( That must have been terrible to watch. Poor horse!
Enough of sad horsey stories... I can't believe this is finals week. Final on Monday, practical Wednesday, final Thursday, practical Friday. The only fun thing in between is a Health Education end-of-the-year lunch at Bertucci's on Tuesday. :) I reeeally like Bertucci's. It will be one crazy week this week, but I'm really looking forward to my weekend and going home! On Friday I might go out with my PT class; they sure love to hit Thorton's early on Friday for drinks after practicals! I enjoy being the only sober one... but then on Saturday I get to go to Sarah's graduation party! Woo hoo!
On Saturday night Jake is going to drive me back to Boston so my mom can pick me up and take a few things from my dorm. Then I get to go home from Saturday until probably next Thursday. Then I get to "fun" things like go to the DMV to register my "new" car. I'll also get to see my family... I haven't seen them since early March, I think. Yeah it was definitely 2 months ago.
I don't want to go to our graduation on the 17th. I honestly think it's a waste of my time since I have to be there at 8:45am and it won't be over until almost 2. It's expected to be almost 4 hours! That's total crap. I'm still going, mostly because my family wants to go. I'm not really graduating anyways, I still have 2 1/4 years left to go. The real graduation will be my PT graduation in 2010. Instead of getting my bachelor's in Health Science, I'll be getting my doctorate in PT! One step at a time... I should go study.
