(no subject)
My busy summer has begun! I was in Las Vegas from the 15th through the 22nd with Jake. We stayed at Treasure Island which was pretty nice! It was right on the strip and our room had a really nice view of more than half the strip- from the Mirage down to MGM! We visited most of the hotel/casinos on the strip, rode the roller coaster at New York, New York; saw the flamingo habitat at the Flamingo, took an indoor gondola ride at the Venetian, saw Monty Python's "Spamalot" at the Wynn, saw Cirque du Soleil's "Mystere" at our hotel, and took a bus tour to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. We did the Skywalk at the Grand Canyon's West Rim... ooh spooky!! Haha.. lots of people were scared of falling... we just trusted the glass and enjoyed the view. We also just hung around in the room relaxing and watching TV to enjoy our free time. I couldn't gamble (well, they probably wouldn't have stopped me.. but I didn't anyways) but Jake did- he won $200 playing roulette! I think my favorite part of the trip was the indoor gondola ride because it was all romantic and cute... the Grand Canyon was nice too, except for the 14 miles of unpaved roads and the bus being 90 degrees on the way back.... that made for a not very happy Jake but I was ok.
I'm in Canada now... busy on my aunt's farm! I'll update with more details about that later. Who else besides me would enjoy scooping horse poop on summer vacation?? Haha.... boy they poop a lot.
