Semi entertaining weekend.
Tuesday
Me and a coworker were supposed to get picked up by an old coworker [from here on out named Grace, because that's her name] that transferred up to Show Low, AZ. The plan was to spend Tuesday through Thursday up there at the hotel. Casino, skiing, etc, etc. They got snowed in, so that was out of the question. Bummer time. I took the money I had saved up for that and put it towards a wireless wifi adapter for the 360 (and a Twilight Princess hat for $5). Which didn't work because I needed the passphrase for my router. Wait, why the do I need it for that? My Wii didn't need it at all, so why the hell did the 360? Microsoft failed on that front. They also failed by charging $99 for the damned thing. Seriously. I got mine for 10% off because the poackaging was damaged. Regardless, it didn't work.
Played some Left 4 Dead with Jenny, which, by the way, is always funny. Sorry about the loud backround noise. D:
That night I stayed in and some of my roommates [from here on out named John, cause that's his name] class mates came over. We ended up watching Zack and Miri Make A Porno. Now, I love Kevin Smith. Huge fan, this movie was no different than his other ventures except it was about the main characters falling in love (D'awww) It worked excellently. And any movie where Justin Long and the guy who played Superman (the most recent version) act as a gay couple will be gold. Also, shit scene. Watch it. The rest of the day/night was filled with FFVII.
ALSO- One of JOhns class mates is named Greg aswell. A nickname of his is also Greggles. And he likes Tori Amos too.
Wednesday
I returned the wifi adapter and got my $90ish back. From there on Grace and I went out to Bookmans (Chain of used book, game, movie, etc store only found in AZ.) I procceded to pick up Final Fantasy IX, Tori Amos - Welcome to Sunny Florida (live in concert DVD) and a DVD of the cartoon of The Legend of Zelda. All for barely over $30. Pretty sweet deal to me. From there we ventured to FYE, where I bought some Nintendo keychains (NES controller, Mario and Link) and a bottle of Ramune. Drink was OK and the way you open it is awesome, though getting that last half ounce out is a bitch. Anyways, the next destination was Wal*Mart, so Grace could try and find a birthday gift for her boyfriend. I wasn't looking to buy anything, but ended up getting another MP3 player. 8GB, twice the space of my broken one, sam brand, etc. That only cost $20 more than the 4GB model. Score. The rest of the day/night was filled with FFVII.
Was watching Welcome to Sunny Florida when Greg showed up to hang out. He was all "I was just listening to her on my way over. Crazy. Enter decent lentgh conversation about Tori and our favorite songs, etc.
Thursday...
Nothing. Not at all. Stayed home with John and we played quite a bit of FFVII. Just got to disc two when I passed out (stayed home sick, fr\elt like vomiting most the day; almost did)
Tis Friday morning now. Friday the 13th. It is my brothers 20th birthday. I'd visit, but he's in Washington at the moment. His son is due on the 22nd of this month. I am, yet again going to be an uncle. I also just realized that I'll probably be the last in our family to get married/have kids, but that really doesn't bother me. Anyways, I just finished watching Jurassic Park about 30 minutes ago and am now contemplating going to bed. Probably soon, after I hit up the store and look up some books I want.
Asta la vista, baby.
