Fourth Light - [Action]

Apr 12, 2010 19:08

[It's been several days since the death of the Remnants and John has been avoiding his two comrades in the days since. He's been keeping on his patrols, in spite of a broken leg, but after a shorter patrol than usual, John will be making his first trip to the Good Spirits. He's not in uniform, but he still hovers in to keep from having to hobble in ( Read more... )

[You know that feeling you get when someone's watching you? Well, John can have it in spades. There's a six-foot something figure somewhere on the edge of your vision, wearing a cloak that looks like a patchwork of new feather clothes, and obscures all identifying features, though his journal seems to float at his hip without the aid of any device.]

[A little unusual for Luceti and while this creature isn't anything John has seen before, he's seen weirder. So he goes back to his drink.]

((ooc: it should be noted that as a Green Lantern, John has received extensive training to shield against mental manipulation.))

[Mewtwo isn't giving up. The simple fact that this human seems to be resistant to his mental prods and doesn't even seem to notice it is enough to get him curious as well as a bit frustrated.]

[OOC: Okies~!]

[Oh, he can tell someone is trying to get in. His guard is immediately up and his civilian clothes are replaced immediately with his uniform and a green glow around his body. He's got one guess as to who the culprit is and he's turning his attention to Mewtwo. He doesn't look very pleased.]

[Well, the reaction was a little satisfying. But, it was hardly what he had wanted to find out, though the sudden transformation seemed to be related to the sort of... unfamiliar aura the man possessed. It was the nature of that aura that he wanted to know about. As to the glare, he doesn't move a muscle.]

[He levels his gaze at the creature.] It's considered polite to ask before you go probing someone's head.

[The only movement Mewtwo made was to pull what little of his feet could be seen beneath the cloak up and into the darkness of the shade. There was something about this human that didn't set well with him, the resistance to his probes not being the least of his worries.]

[He crosses his arms, his gaze not shifting.]

I know you can understand me.

[There's still no movement from beneath the cloak, though he does speak. The voice, however, comes from the journal at his side, making for a slightly disembodied sound.]

...I never denied that I could.

[Okay, that's pretty weird.]

Good. Is there something you need?

[Just wait until Mewtwo decides to discard the cloak and just walk around looking like a six-foot tall hairless mutant squirrel. That ought to get people talking.]

There is nothing I need of humans.

You're in a predominantly human village. You'll have to deal with it.

[Time to declare his anti-human sentiment to customs, of a sort at least.]

Humans pose no significant threat to me. I provide what I need myself. The only reason I remain in this hovel of a 'town' is to gather information. Nothing more, nothing less.

[...But nabbing a decidedly appealing fruit from a random bowl and floating it over to him is just bonus.]

[The apple is temporarily intercepted by a green beam engulfing it from John's right hand.]

As long as you 'play nice', then there will be no problem.

[As intelligent and sophisticated as Mewtwo is, he's still operating quite a bit on instinct. As such, that particular gesture was taken as an attempt to come between Mewtwo and his food. Not a good thing for John. There will be a pair of blue lights flaring to life beneath the hood, followed by a telekinetic burst aimed at John's right wrist.]

Do not interfere with my business, and no action will be taken against any being within this place, be they human or Pokemon.

[At the sign of a flash, John's shield immediately goes up, blocking off the telekinetic burst. Unfortunately the apple will be dropped on the ground. Now it's dirty.]

I plan to hold you to that, regardless of your 'business'.
