On another note, I'm planning on going on a mainly vegetarian diet... damn close to vegan, actually, and very low-fat (and short on starchy foods) in general... but I'm not giving up meat entirely. I still want to eat the occasional slice of turkey breast, and I'd go nuts without my pickled herring.

This is for health reasons, not philosophical ones. (Unless you count wanting to be skinny as a rail as a philosophy...)
