A post....a post.....I finally posted again!!!
Yeah yeah yeah, its been awhile (not that I think anyone reads or comments on these things anyways). I have been EXTREMELY busy since last I posted on LJ.
To start off I have been remodeling the condo. Nothing large as of right now (you need money to do that), but in small ways, like painting, cleaning, clearing out stuff, making minor repairs, maximizing space, and getting new furniture. The last one being my wife and my greatest triumph of recent says. Our Living Room looks amazing with the stuff bought from IKEA. I was able to FINALLY display a lot of my statues out there now and it looks amazing!! Our 2nd room is also coming along nicely (its finally cleared out, looks good, and can now be used as my GAMING ROOM .......and also a spare room for guests)!
I think our biggest priorities are going to be the front bathroom and the kitchen in the near future. I want any area of the house guests and family members can see visually without opening doors to look perfect!! We are also going to do a major job on the back porch to turn it into a 3rd room/Florida Room (after Maria Graduates).
Speaking of Graduation my wife is in her final semester. She graduates this December and we are really excited at officially being a dougle income couple. Our money woes as of late will hopefully be gone by then ;)
School Starts in 1 week but I return this Monday to start prepping my classroom for my new group of kids (I really really hope they are as AWESOME as last years group).
It will be nice to get back to work again!!
Went through all my novels and graphic novels and have 2 huge boxes of stuff to sell off ASAP.
After that I think I am going to have a Comic Book sorting party at my house where I give each of my friends a long box and we go through all my comics and put them in order then I decide which I want to keep and which I want to sell. Since we moved about a year and a half ago my comis have been all out of order because of the way my inlaws packed everything. I have to put all m y NEW books in with their respected groups and sort out the titles I don't collect anymore or just don't want to have anymore.
Now obviously anyone who wants to help me sort books will be given food and drinks as well as a DVD movie party afterwards where we can ham it up MST3K style if we want. I haven't set a date yet so I need to get on that!
Been framing a lot of my Green Lantern Artwork from the comics lately. I am very glad I started to do that as I would DIE if some of this stuff got ruined (especially the Ethan Van Sciver pages). They look really good framed and will look better once they are up on the wall!!
We just got back from a one day trip to Disney yesterday as well. It was a lot of fun. We went to EPCOT in the morning, Magic Kingdom in the afternoon and Disney Studios at night.
When we went to EPCOT I bought a large diet coke which Maria then poured into her water bottle (I hate Diet). I then took the cup and filled it to the brim at the Coke Station where you get Free Coke from around the world in those little cups. I simply took a little cup and began filling it up with the Mexian Coke product (its yummy and tastes like Apple Juice Coke) and kept pouring it into the bogger cup. I have no shame and quite frankly I didn't care anyways, I mean I MIGHT get a werbal warning if someone REALLY cared but nothing happened so I will definitely keep doing it again because some of those drinks are damned good!!!
I took my friend Pete to the Deerfield Courthouse last Friday and that story is worth a completely NEW post of its own so maybe if I have the time I will type it down in the next few days. But Pete ended up getting his ticket tossed out by the judge (who seemed to be a very fair and decent guy).
Tomorrow is another day and aside from Heroclix in the afternoon I have no idea where the winds may take us, so I guess we;ll find out soon.
