So his campaign claims might be the best strategy and possibly last chance for the upcoming nomination debate.
Newt Gingrich is a pugnacious fighter and good dirty infighter in a verbal exchange. Acting reserved, above the fray or what one might call Presidential is not his strong point. Newt Gingrich only works if he goes for the throat and smears his opponents. i.e. Be Newt.
Problem with 'Let Newt be Newt!' is that Newt Gingrich is really a grandiose and self-centered... Newt.
Newt will say whatever you want to hear, not because he is a true believer Corporate Warrior or Culture Warrior, but he is a Newt Warrior; fighting for the good, the good of Newt. What is good for Newt is Personal Power; as much as he can get and at any cost. Newt will stay in the race as long as it's in his best advantage. Newt will drop out of the race when it is to his best advantage to do so. He will throw support to whomever it is to his best advantage to do so.
Ultimately Newt's history will sink his campaign. The history of being Newt Gingrich.
