we're in deep shit with our finances. we were overdraft by $28 this weekend [not a big deal], then the overdraft fees started kicking in. almost $300 in fees. so we went to the bank to see if we could get some of them reversed, but our agent was with another customer. so we left our phone number. hopefully he will call me back tomorrow morning and i can get at least half of those fees waived. but until then our account stands overdrawn. darin managed to get his parents to let him sign his check over to them, then got cash in return. however, my check is direct deposit. suck ass.
wells fargo sucks, so avoid it like the plague. i think Fox News [however biased they may be] has even done stories on how fucked up wells fargo is. they put the big checks through first, then all the little ones so you're charged $33 for every little transaction that occurs once you're overdrawn. for example, all of those transactions in the $28 overdrawn were under $10. i'm being charged $33 for buying a $2 newspaper. it's fucked. and i'm pissed. i work hard for the little money i earn, damnit.
darin wants to get separate accounts. at first i was insulted, but i see how it may make things easier. if one of us gets overdrawn, we can sign our checks over to the other and figure it out from there. i think darin will handle rent and the car payment and possible insurance, and i'll probably take food, gas, energy, and entertainment. whatever darin has leftover every month we can put into an account for moving to austin. if i manage to have ANYTHING leftover every month, praise God.
i need a better job. i've been saying it forever, but i just don't know where to start looking.
starting off the new year on the wrong foot, to say the least.
