Saturday
1. I love the rain, but I was hoping/planning to actually be outside today. :(
2. But I do have a clean house.
3. I got my grade back.
4. It's low, but not as low as I had been afraid of. Over 20pts higher than the class average. I can pull it up.
5. My clinical instructor said that I am "clearly and wonderfully biopychosocially oriented" and that's great, but I need to see the medicine/pathophysiology first.
6. I agree. I am going into medicine, right?
7. And anyway, I'm only now learning the pathophys stuff, so I think it's normal for me to see the human first and the disease second.
8. But I have to and I will learn to incorporate this.
9. (Honestly, it will ALWAYS be seeing the person first but I can keep that to myself)
10. It's not like I'm dismissing the disease or anything like that, just you know, the person's a painting and the disease is like an idea or an object in it, maybe it's the main focus, but it's still not The Painting.
