petite update:
cardiologist went really really well- finding a new doctor at johns hopkins was the best decision of my life [serious.] i found out i don't have some congestive heart failure disease that will cause me to die at age forty like previously thought, just a genetic high cholesterol disorder that can be easily regulated by zocor and the loss of 10 pounds or so. although it is a major load off, it is the same disorder my mom suffers from, and i need to really start paying better attention to my diet before i have a heart attack at thirty.
charles and i are back into our annual summer flirt-fest. i've been keeping my guard up the whole time (which is especially hard to do when you are full of tequila) but for some reason i can't help but feel like this time will be different. the conditions have completely changed. i really want to believe that he has grown up and is really trying to make up for everything by courting me seriously (read: tickle fights, piggie back rides, escort back to my car via metro, and no makeout sesh in volkswagen backseat aka we're getting somewhere) but i'm keeping that wall up because i know him, and this could all just be an misinterpretation of a smooth hookup operation. details as i investigate further.
i have fallen deeply and hopelessly in love with turkey pepperoni. how did i not know about this shit? i have had every fake pork product out there. well! back to the guilt-free jewbie lifestyle.
