damn, it feels good to be a gangsta...
I just had to say that. anyway.
So I can honestly say I'm a fucking dumbASS.
A week or so ago, I was burning a bunch of stories and scanlations and pictures to cds and the scanlations went through, but for some ODD reason, none of my pictures did.
I was doing this to clear up space on my computer as I had only 934 MB left of space. (!!)
So as soon as I burned it, I deleted the files...like a douchebag.
All my pictures from my digital camera (05 to 07 - including some of the only good pictures of me and the videos of the last hurricane to come through florida - can't remember its name) all my anime pictures and alllll 250-ish of my saved lj icons. The only ones I have now are the ones that are in my user pics. I seriously cried.
Yes, they are only pictures, but as for the 05-07 pictures, my memory is not the best, so I use them for remembering. :*(
I'm mostly upset at the hurricane videos and the BEST picture of me. It was me after I got my hair cut in this awesomely cute style and I had a dress on and I looked awesome and just amazing and because I'm fucking dumb...it's gone.
I'm just so damn mad at myself.
My dad did find a program that can get back files that have been deleted from the recycle bin, but I haven't found any of them yet. I'll keep looking, but it's quite disheartening.
I did remember a bunch of names of lj users who had/made the icons I saved, so I can get some back. But there were a bunch that I got 3-4 years ago that I probably cannot ever get back.
Some i might be able to find like the icons from the movie Clue, or some other ones, but it's almost hopeless. :(
Anyway onto not so horrible depressing news.
I got a 92 on my first world geog exam for which I did not study one iota. I was also up to 5 am and the test was at 10..hehe :}
I watched Becoming Jane today, which was just so tragically romantic and I totally cried and sighed. A lot. It's probably one of the most romantic movies I've ever seen. And I lurve that dance part where her eyes light up when she sees him :} (btw that is my smirk/big squee/excited smile)
I also figured out how to work utorrent so I'm happy and I did it allll without jessica's or dad's help. :)
speaking of jessica, she's starting to realllly irritate me lately.
First off, she always interrupts me. Like in the span I get to finish ONE thought, she's already said like 3 minimum.
Also, she says stuff that's completely fucking obvious. (1) For example, we went to the Ren Fest this past weekend and I heard the turnpike sunpass go off, but I didn't know where it was placed in the car. Later when we went through another toll, I finally spotted it and was like, oh that's where the sunpass is.
She responded with: "yes that's what is used by people to go through the tolls without having to stop and pay."
I really had to control myself not to give her a look (or even say) no fucking duh.
I use the turnpike allll the time. And I was using it probably before her since I was in guard and a lot of our competitions were in Miami or a bit north so we'd take the turnpike. (speaking of those competitions, Jupiter never ONCE complained about having to go down alll the way to Hollywood or somewhere down in Miami, 2 hrs away, but when we had a comp at our school, it was "too far" for people to come. We were the northern most school of the circuit and they were the southern most. I wanted to say stop bitching. You have money coming out of your ass. Suck it up)
Speaking of the turnpike. I95 and the turnpike are basically the same, except I95 is usually busier (because it has more lanes than the turnpike) and alwaysss has construction. And Jessica is like deathly afraid of I95 but has no problem with the turnpike...alls I say is hmmmm ooook?
(2) She was showing me a drama with MatsuJun in it (he's tres cuteee) and it's called Bambino (he works at an italian restaurant...in Tokyo...Yes I was a bit confused too) but the person said something in Italian, it was bambino (little boy) and I said Bambino and she's like it means little boy or infant.
I was like nooo way! I never knew that! I never learned that what with my two semesters of Italian! (<--- sarcasm btw)
and she pissed me off today. One of my friends on lj, who recently graduated with a graphic illustrator degree (I think that's it), drew this AMAZING picture of Inuyasha, when Kagome pulls the arrow out and I knew Jess like Inuyasha, so I showed it to her and she's like why is she making that face. It's mean looking and ugly.
Even though I don't presonally know the girl, I still felt completely insulted on that and defended her.
I was like well Kagome is being squished to death, remember?
her: but still
me: what face would you make?
her: not an ugly one
for which I proceeded to rip her a new one almost, saying if she cannot do the same, then she has not right to (unfairly) criticise something.
Also, the artist wrote back with the link to the same part in the original manga, and Kagome has a mean-ish looking face. I mean she's being squished to death, being yelled at by a rude guy, having to deal with the fact that she is NOT in her own time period and the other villagers yelling at her to not release him. I'd probably have the same look or one more stupid looking on my face.
but anyway, I'm off to do...something completely unproductive.
I also need to buy something for Briaaannnn. Shit

pps - I have fallen in love with clumsy by fergie (not the spoken part though - that annoys me)
I think the first verse she sings TOTALLY fits the manga/anime/drama Gokusen with the relationship between Shin and Yankumi. (well actually only the first three lines of the first verse.) and yes it is all three of those. Gokusen is tres popular! I think I like the anime better because she's more Yakuza in it and I have a love affair with all things Yakuza. :}
ppps - alll day today it has been raining. There was a huge storm band (like the same milage from the keys to lake okeechobee - that's how long the storm band was) and it was heading straight up Florida. So it's been raining off and on and its doing it again now. Also, there's a tornado warning and I sleep right next to a window. Fucking fabulous. But I think these are hurricane windows, as they don't put shutters up, so I should be good right? I might end up sleeping in the bathroom tonight. Fab
