"My sister recognized that we walk through the world differently"

I have tons to talk about but my life has been absolute hell recently with everything on my plate, and it's not going to get better until the end of July, which makes me dread the whole month before it's even started. :/ In the midst of all of it, though, someone on Facebook posted this video and it's awesome, so I wanted to make sure I shared it before it got buried in my Firefox tab:

Also June is Pride month in a lot of places, and I know Paris and Toronto Pride are this weekend... so I wanted to share this great piece by a transwoman about Pride, inclusivity and trauma. I think the LGB community is so willing sometimes not to see how it perpetuates marginalization within its own ranks, and it makes me so frustrated and mad how we're willing to perpetuate that ignorance. Anyway. I feel very differently about the Pride march in Paris than I do about the Pride parades in North America, but I still think a lot of it applies to the dynamics of the LGB(T) community in France, so, something to think about.
