The Cycle of Forgotten Entities

when time began, we were separate beings
floating around the same hemisphere
two entities, never yielding their ideas
appreciation for the beauties in the differences
each with eyes their own to watch the day

as stars collide, they shall become one
in a blast of light that blinds our minds
we struggle to hang on to origins
but end up surrendering far too easily
succumbing to an invasion of privacy

our thoughts become one
our senses are shared
we do not know ourselves
for this, we have not prepared

in a circular fashion
all life takes a turn
in the Autumn, I'm found
where in the spring, I have burned
one too beautiful
the other, too depressed
slowly become lost
in a disastrous mess
and as we forever give spin
to this light in our eyes
we will always forget
that we end up living lies

as one train of thought, we follow the path
until the dark water leads us astray
lost and deserted, we pick up new knowledge
betraying the union of our beliefs and our fears
a split occurs in the hull of our ship
and the sailors on-board all abandon their posts
off in the distance, i can see a new island
i swim and i stroke 'til i get to the shore
it is there that i find a new place to call home
i, at last, start again to learn who i am
i separate from all that i knew so well
and find within that which can breathe new life
a new entity waits and dances in the sand
and my mind forgets all previously written
i erase myself once again
and dive in heart first, mind last
