Day 03 - Your favorite series.
1. The Enola Holmes Series - Nancy Springer.
A YA series concerning Sherlock Holmes's younger sister, Enola. I expected to like Nancy Springer's series about Robin Hood's daughter much more than this one, yet it turned out to be the other way around. The Rowan Hood books were not really my cup of tea at all, but I adore Enola Holmes. She's a great character and I say that as a twenty-something, despite the series being meant for 12-14 year-old-girls.
2. The Arthurian series - Gerald Morris
My favorite version of the Arthurian legend. The first I've across to inject humor into the stories, but kept the seriousness as well. My only problem is that since the series covers many different characters throughout the legends, my favorite characters (Terence, Gawaine, and Morgan) aren't in every book. However, whole series is enjoyable and the four books that are mainly about them are absolutely brilliant. And I would recommend reading all of them, because if you just read the last two you'd miss out on a lot of great characters.
