Interview with Bradley James... Do you think Merlin will ever take over from Doctor Who as the biggest family drama on TV?
I don't think we will ever need to take over from Doctor Who - there is more than enough room in the world for both.
Truth! Ahem.
Which guest stars have impressed you?
As before, the best thing about working on the show is the guest artists coming on. We are given an endless supply of excellence to meet/work with and learn from. I've been most excited by the arrival of Arthur's future Knights of the Round Table.
BOOYAH. Of course he's excited by the arrival of the knights. I'm excited. Everybody's excited.
And an interview with Katie McGrath... Is she a bad girl?
Not at all. I don't see her as evil. By season three you understand that she has no other option than to do what she has to do. She believes in what she is doing and in standing up for people like her. She's dark, not evil.
(WORD. *nods vigorously*)
Do you think you'd like to see a film of Merlin?
I don't think we'll ever need to. Where can a film go that we haven't already been? And why cram it all into an hour-and-a-half? We can do so much more telling many stories rather than just one. And this year, the show looks so film-like. I like to think we have given people 13 mini movies.
(This! The magic of television is that it can tell a longer, fuller story than a movie. Also, they're different mediums! It's fine to have a TV version of one thing, and a movie of another. You can like both. It's OKAY. Seriously.)
