....crash?! really, are we serious here? crash? as in the slap you in the face with racism, self promoting "look how good we are for making a movie about racism" crash? ARE WE REALLY THAT DUMB ACADEMY?! yes, it is a good thing for people to make movies about issues such as homosexuality and racism and intolerance...but just because the movie is made doesn't automatically make it the best picture. ugghhh...its hard to believe that the academy would have such a shallow look at movies that they would be drawn into such thinking. What about Munich? munich was about a serious conflict itself, but it didn't have the "popular" minorities in it so it isn't going to win awards. There is much to be said about Munich that goes deeper than the fact that the main character is gay or that the racists are no longer racists. but what do i know, i'm just a stupid science kid. rant concluded.
