Hooray for my pans. I foolishly melted a not insignificant portion of a plastic spatula onto one of my skillets tonight. This was due to the combination of a bad habit (I sometimes leave pans sitting on the stove for a while instead of washing them right away) and my seeming inability to turn on the right burner on the first try when I use the stove. (Technically, I did turn on the right burner the first time. But then I decided I was wrong for some reason and switched. No good!) I left water to boil, or so I thought. Five minutes later, with the help of a funny smell, I discovered my mistake. Oops.
I started to dread a rather unpleasant cleaning session to get the melted plastic off, but then it just fell off with a good rinse. It seems I can't lose.
