Hey, guess what? I signed up for Yuletide for the first time in three or four years (??) so I'm kind of freaking out. That should also tell you how appreciative I am that you're writing this story for me. So. Let me tell you about my prompts:
1.) Gymnastics RPF - Epke Zonderland
People who know me from Tumblr know how obsessed I am with this lovely Dutch gymnast. Since watching The Hard Way To Success, I have become even more convinced how much German gymnast Fabian Hambeuchen is obsessed with Epke, but I didn't have time to nominate him as a character. If you're feeling willing and/or able, I would be tickled to read a story about these two. Especially since Epke won Gold and Fabian won silver at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Antwerp this year. I mean, Fabi was literally rooting for Epke to win and after he performed, he almost immediately went to Epke to high five him and hug him to death... I mean, you know. I would love a story about them and UST, their friendship, the one time after Worlds where Fabian accidentally kissed him --- er. ANYWAY.
However, that being said, I would be 100% happy with anything involving Epke, because to date, I have only read two fanfics about him and that is just a crime. (Against my imagination.) 2.) Hunger Games RPF - Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson
I'm not necessarily looking for romance in this, but I think these two are the cutest and I was always amused how obvious it was that Josh had a monster-sized crush on Jennifer during the filming of their first film. If you want them to hook up, that's OK by me, but I could just listen to them banter all day long and be completely happy. Not looking for something really soapy, just goofy, funny, cute, something that represents how easy they are with each other. I really love just watching them together. There's something that they have as co-stars/friends that you don't see with a lot of actors. Maybe it's 10 years later and he casts her in a film he's directing, and how they deal with each other and their newfound maturity. I love speculative fics. It doesn't have to be in the universe of the Hunger Games films/filming. But at the same time, I would enjoy that as well. I mean, if you read the articles, Josh's house was party-central during the filming of Catching Fire, so I imagine some amusing shit went down during that period. You can include other characters, but I'd love a Josh/Jen UST/RST centered fic. Other than that, go wild.
3.) Spaced - Tim Bisley, Daisy Steiner
Well, if you know about the endgame of Spaced, you know they got together. So let's talk about that. How did they hook up? What were some moments that lead to that? What was a flirty night they had pre-hookup? Where are they at 10 years from now? (According to Simon Pegg, they do not end up together forever but amicably divorced/separated with kids). Just some ideas. OK. Let's say you don't care about these questions. Then write me a funny gen episode about another goofy adventure they get into. My only requirement there is that it must involve Tyres in that case and some Brian/Marsha tension, because that is the best. I miss this show. Give me some old X-Files / 90s sci-fi references, please.
4.) Archer - Archer Sterling, Lana Kane, Pam Poovey, Malory Archer
I love the dynamic between Archer & Lana, but I love the perviness of Pam and the cold shouldered mother that only Malory could be. My ridiculous dream scenario would be that Archer, Lana and Pam somehow get involved in a tryst (how?? I don't know, YOU'RE the writer) and Malory, of all people, comes upon them. I cannot think of a more cringe-worthy scenario. But in all honesty, I love all the characters on Archer and if you can work some Kreiger in there (especially with his holographic girlfriend and rockin' Rush van), that would probably be perfect. I wouldn't be unhappy with any scenario involving any of these characters, though. I just want to hear Archer make an esoteric reference and turn to someone and go, "Read a book, already!" Heh.
General Likes: Being in-character - there is nothing that drives me out of a story if the characters don't have their voices, even in an AU. Speaking of which, AUs are fine, as long as they preserve the feeling and personality of the original character. Crossovers are also fantastic. If you want to crossover any of these fandoms, go for it.
Let me tell you about a prompt I requested a while back that I still think about to this day: Hunger Games RPF/Epke Zonderland RPF - set during the original Hunger Games movie when they are doing initial stunt training, and they hire the newly awarded Olympic gold medalist to help train the actors for the movie. Despite herself, Jennifer becomes attracted to him, causing jealousy among the other cast members, especially Josh. Not that I'm saying you need to write this, but if you're bored and looking for something else to write, this would be great.
I love comedy, romance, ensembles, sexual tension, witty dialog, but mostly I want you to write in a style that's comfortable for you so you feel happy with whatever you produce.
General Dislikes: OOC fics, angst, BDSM, abuse, character death, generally negative stories.
