- Believe in life on other planets: Yes.
- Believe in miracles: Yes.
- Believe in God: Absolutely. It is the foundation of who I am.

- Believe in Santa: I was very suspicious of Santa and his operations at a very early age.
- Believe in Ghosts/spirits: I do, but I think they are generally of an evil nature.
- Believe in Evolution: Yes.
- Butter or margarine: Butter, except when I’m lazy and want something easy to spread. I have lately been buying butter with olive oil, which seems like a good compromise.
C
- Car: 2003 Infinti G35 [with no working climate control or audio]. I want a new car.
- Candy: Milky Way. Or Tolberone. Or Kit Kat.
- Color: Black.
- Cried in school: Yes, on a few embarrassing occasions.
- Chocolate/Vanilla: Depends on what it is: chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream, for starters.
- Chinese/Mexican: Most of the time, I will choose Mexican, unless we’re talking a trip to Chinatown with my Chinese friend who will do all the ordering for me. In that case, no contest.
- Countries to visit: Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, China (& HK), Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain … etc, etc. You name it, I will probably visit it.
- Cookies or Brownies: Depends on my mood but I will usually choose brownies.
D

- Do the splits?: I have never been able to do this.

- Dinosaurs: Are epic. I had a short period of time where I considered paleontology as a career path.
E
- Eggs: Over easy.
- Eyes: Hazel.
- Everyone has: Self-doubt.
- Ever failed a class?: No, the worst grade I’ve ever gotten was a D, one semester, in geometry.
- Every day: at some point, I thank God for what I have and wish to be better.
F
- First crush: Jason B., in the 1st grade. He turned out to be a massive stoner by high school.
- First thoughts waking up: How can I squeeze in more sleep?
- Food: takes up way too much of my general interests, time, thinking and body weight.
- Fast or slow: Fast. I talk fast, walk fast, think fast, eat fast, read fast.
G
- Greatest Fear: Losing my son, my family, having to start over and figure out how to move on.
- Giver or taker: My husband loves to joke that I am greedy, and I am, especially when it comes to food, but I consider myself fairly generous with those I care about.
- Goals: Be more productive, get closer to God, raise good children, get pregnant again, spend less money, cook more at home.
- Gum: Wintergreen or peppermint. Or bubble gum balls so I can blow bubbles.
- Get along with your parents?: Yes.
- Good luck charms: I used to have a rabbit’s foot because I thought you were supposed to have one, but I don’t consider myself superstitious and don’t carry anything anymore.
- Games: Rock Band 3. Pictionary.
H
- Hair Color: Red with black lowlights.
- Height: 5’6”.
- Happy: Generally speaking.
- Holidays: Christmas is definitely my favorite, but the most stress-inducing. Second favorite is Halloween because it reminds you how much fun it was to be a kid, and now that we have one, we get to actively participate again. The rest of the holidays are just great excuses to see the extended family we rarely see otherwise.
- How do you want to die: Hopefully without sustaining pain or suffering for an extended period of time. I also hope that my last words to my family are positive ones. I believe in God’s plan for all of us and try not to fear death.
- Health freak?: Not as much as I should be.
- Hate: prejudice, violence against innocents and children
- Help: I need to stop procrastinating so much on everything in life.
I
- Clothing Style: Very frumpy lately as I have easily 20 lbs I could lose. Still wearing mostly black, a carryover from my goth years in college.
- Characteristics: Easily amused, flaky at times, loudmouth, very shy around people I don’t know.
- Ice Cream: Chocolate chip cookie dough. Or vanilla bean.
- Instrument: My voice is my only instrument and I’m no American Idol singer. As much as I love music, I have no affinity for playing musical instruments.
- Iceskating or rollerskating: Roller skating is my first love and wish I was able to go more. I enjoy ice skating but it’s hard for me and my weak-ass ankles.
J
- Jewelry: Don’t really care that much about it. I wear two family rings from my husband’s side and a watch every day. I do like watches a lot, though, and would probably get a really nice one if I could afford it.
- Jokes: Not a good joke-teller. I do love a good joke, though. Anything to make me laugh.
K
- Kids: I love my child more than I ever imagined. Really want to have another, but making it happen is proving to be a bit more difficult than I expected. Sigh.
- Kickboxing or karate: Eh. I appreciate the martial arts, but could not see myself doing it.
- Keep a diary?: Only my LiveJournal and Tumblr. The personal stuff stays on LJ. My Tumblr is more like a diary of my internet pursuits.
L
- Longest Car Ride: Recently, the road trip that I took two years ago with my parents and son from Chicago to Washington D.C. Less recently, the trip I took with my mom & grandmother and sister to Florida in the 5th grade. We pretty much fly everywhere now.
- Love: is what makes life worth living and brings joy every day.
- Letter: X
- Laughed so hard you cried: Listening to Daniel Tosh’s new CD, Happy Thoughts.
- Love at first sight: I don’t think love at first sight exists. You can see someone and feel infatuation but love is something that develops over time once you really know and understand someone and realize there is nothing more you want in life than to be with that person.
- Lyrics: “Never meant to hurt you / never meant to lie / so this is goodbye.” - Moby, Porcelain. These are very sad lyrics in the middle of a sad song, but I actually have a lot of good memories centered on this particular song. I enjoy that kind of contradiction.
M
- Milk flavor: I drank regular milk for years, but lately only use it for coffee and cereal.
- Movie: I don’t know what my favorite movie is right now. I want to cop out and say something predictable like The Empire Strikes Back, but that’s just a knee-jerk reaction. Haven’t thought about it for a while.
- Mooned anyone?: No.
- Marriage: Already done, quietly celebrated 10 years this year.
- Motion sickness?: No.
- McD's or BK: Burger King for burgers, McDonald’s for fries, but honestly, I avoid both these days. Not a big fast food person anymore.
- Mood: Lazy.
N
- Number of Siblings: Two.
- Number of Piercings: Ummmm … open or closed? Currently open, I have three in one ear, two in another, an eyebrow and a labret piercing. I also have a closed nose piercing and several (five, I think) at the top of my ears that closed up.
- Number: 42.
- Need: To sleep more, procrastinate less.
O
- Overused Phrases: wut, holy crap, LOL, so this exists, seriously, WTF
- One wish: To get pregnant again.
- One phobia: Tornadoes.
- One day: I will get over my self-anxiety.
P
- Place you'd like to live: Washington state. Or Texas. Somewhere with a better climate than here.
- Pepsi/Coke: Ha, totally used to be a die-hard Pepsi person, to the point where I wrote pointless stories about it, but lately have become a Coke convert. My favorite is probably Mexican Coke, though, made with sugar instead of HFCS.
- People are: self-centered, self-serving, and rapidly losing their faith at an alarming rate.
Q
- Quail: Tastes awesome.
- Questionnaires: Cause me to procrastinate more, but also let me talk about myself in an easy format, which I enjoy.
R
- Reason to cry: Reading about children dying or being abused.
- Reality T.V.: I don’t generally watch it, but have been known to watch marathons of Jerseylicious, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and when I want to absolutely lose all hope for humanity, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
- Radio Station: Q101, The Loop, and if I’m listening to A.M., WLS.
- Roll your tongue in a circle?: Yes, we called it “taco tongue” growing up.
- Reading: Too much, but right now, I’m actively in the middle of Children Playing Before a Statue of Hercules, a collection of short stories edited by David Sedaris.
S
- Song: Some Chords by deadmau5.
- Shoe size: 8-1/2
- Sushi: One of my favorite things. A friend of mine runs a sushi restaurant and I find myself going there a lot. I did not start eating it until I was in college.
- Skipped school: Only in college.
- Slept outside: In a tent, a couple times.
- Seen a dead body?: Yes.
- Smoked?: Yes, I used to smoke a lot. Recently I’ve bought a pack or two but would only smoke a couple a week. Then my husband would steal the rest and finish them out in a night of drinking and gaming.
- Skinny dipped?: No, and at this point, it’s looking less and less likely.
- Shower daily?: Yes.
- Sing well?: I am adequate. I can carry a tune and sing certain songs relatively well.
- In the shower?: Only every once in a while, now, but I used to do it all the time.
- Swear?: Too much. Trying to watch what I say now that my kid is in the repeating stage.
- Stuffed Animals?: Only on my kids’ bed and they appear to be multiplying. Why is this?
- Single/Group dates: The group date is good for a first date/set-up or, when you’ve been dating/married for a while and want to get together with other “couple friends.” Otherwise, I prefer the single date, especially now that I rarely get to do it.
- Strawberries/Blueberries: Strawberries. I actually do not like blueberries, but wish I did.
- Scientists need to invent: a machine that you could step into that would correctly diagnose all your maladies and diseases.
T
- Time for bed: Usually after 11 p.m., but lately, after 1 a.m., which is way too late for someone with my wake-up time.
- Thunderstorms: are fascinating, but also keep me up with worries about tornadoes.
- Touch your tongue to your nose?: No.
- TV show: Favorite right now is Parks and Rec, then 30 Rock. I also watch way too much children’s television, so new episodes of Spongebob and iCarly make me infinitely happy.
U
- Unpredictable: Only if you don’t know me.
- Under the influence?: Several times a week, I am known to have a drink, but generally only imbibe heavily on the weekends, after my kid is asleep.
- Understanding?: I consider myself an extremely understanding person, perhaps to a fault.
V
- Vegetable you hate: Mushrooms.
- Vegetable you love: Zucchini. French green beans. Spinach.
- Vacation spot: Anywhere that is not here. Seriously.
W
- Weakness: A good restaurant and a decent bourbon.
- When you grow up: I hope I am content with my life.
- Which one of your friends acts the most like you: I’m not sure anyone I know acts the most like me. I have always kind of been in my own weird class.
- Who makes you laugh the most: Probably my kid, who is always doing ridiculous things. And by “my kid,” I am referring to both my actual child and my husband, who is very much like a kid.
- Worst feeling: I’m going to go with
swayinisdancin’s answer, which was “letting someone down.” Nothing makes me feel worse than that.
- Wanted to be a model?: If only because I thought it would be an easy life, but my love of eating would pretty much make it impossible, even if I did have the looks and height, which I don’t.
- Where do we go when we die: I don’t know what happens immediately after death, but I do believe in Heaven and/or some type of an eternal afterlife. I sincerely hope that everyone I know makes it there, but I don’t know if that will actually be the case, and that scares me.
- Worst weather: When it is below zero, snowing, and I have no hat or gloves.
- Walk with a book on your head: For about two seconds.
- Why: Why ask why? Try Bud Dry. Hahaha, how long did that actually exist for?
X
- X-Rays: Yes, I just had some done only to find out I hadn’t broken anything, just strained some muscles really badly.
Y
-Year it is now: 2011.
-Yellow: Reminds me of a really weird Swedish movie, I Am Curious (Yellow) by Vilgot Sjoman. I took this Swedish film course in college one semester and we spent a lot of time studying this film, which made me buy the book when I found it, years later, in a used bookstore. The funny thing is that I don’t remember a ton about the movie, except for the fact that the main character had unusually large nipples. And she was naked a lot.
Z
- Zoo animal: Tigers. I also love Zebras.
- Zodiac sign: Taurus, which I tend to think I do not resemble.
