Working on the car...

Jun 10, 2007 14:34

So yeah, this week it's been very busy. Started last Saturday when I finally got my father to take working on my car seriously.

We got it jacked up and worked on the brake cable, it needs some work, but I got some power blaster that should help with the rust.
Either way, after lots of fun this week including telling my mother she's useless and avoiding her for a few days, getting rid of my sister for the summer and no progress at CSC, and like 4 straight days with Simon. I worked on my car last night with no major issues.

I replaced the Temperature Control Module and the broken taillight. I got those parts at an "Auto Recycle Facility". I now have a new place I lvoe to go. I hate to say it, but it was really fun seeing all the cars, the people, the hunt for similar cars, etc. I can't wait to go to the Mt. Airy one next Saturday to find a van and some other parts we need.

So yeah, now that those are replaced here's the list of things to do as I know them:

Rear struts(Garage job)
Emergency brake cable
Patch firewall
Wire brush undercarriage to get rid of rust*
Window motor

All and all, it should be done on time. And I'll take my test right after.

*Simon: if you were serious when you mentioned if I need help, this week I need to put the back end on stands, and work on the undercarriage. I can use an extra set of hands, and will buy you lunch in return. I have a few things that I can either get done this week, or wait until the weekend(Walmart for some items, Crazy Ray's in Mt. Airy, work on the car) Let me know your statusm or if you'd like to join me.
