so today marks the opening of the kentuky derby festival. three weeks of road closings, and horrid traffic.
today is the air show and the HUGE firewarks show, thunder over louisville. its supose to be one of the biggest in the country or something.
normaly on thunder we would be going to the "river house" a run down house a friends parents owns right on the river, only 2 blocks from the crowd and the perfect spot to see the show and party it up hard in the yard. the last couple years we lived in walking distance from the river house now we dont. but that doesn't mater because derek has a show on the other side of the river and we are gonna have to go hours early because of all the hoopla and watch fromt he other side and maybe hook up with friends.
im gonna miss a day of sitting on blankets and getting drunk and watching the fireworks.
though derek said he was 50/50 on going, so there may still be a chance. : /
