So I've been thinking...
Pastor Dan finished his series in 1 John this morning in church and out of the whole series, this one impacted me the most. He talked about idolatry and how anything that takes more of your attention than God does is an idol. With all the stuff that's been going on, (if you don't know, read my last two entries) I can sort of see why God allowed it all to happen. My car and my money especially, were consuming more of my life than they should. I've been so proud of myself that I have all this money saved up and I get so excited when I get a big paycheck. I get more excited about that then about going to church on Sundays. Which is wrong. Anyway, all of this plus all the support I've been getting has made this situation so much easier to deal with. So thanks for the prayer!
On a different note; MissionsFest is coming! I'm so excited. Seriously, if you havn't been there, I would suggest looking into it. It usually always takes place the last weekend in January and now theres two different locations. Theres the one in Vancouver B.C. where its always been, and this year they're having one in Portland Ore. Although, the one in Portland doesn't host a youth rally which always has awesome music and is tons of fun. Plus, its not Cananda! Here's the Vancouver MissionsFest website:
