(no subject)
so today i went to the bathroom during facing history and ourselves, and i saw this girl that was also new in there. she had these wicked cool turquoise contacts on, but she was crying. i made small talk and told her how tired i was because i had like, 5 cups of weiner melange yesterday and i so couldn't sleep. then i asked her what was wrong, and she started telling me how her dad just told her that her parents decided they were going to split. i put my arm around her and started comforting her, this girl whose name i didnt even know. i had never met her, but here i was with my arm around her. and it wasnt awkward at all. i talked with her about it and she spilled the whole story to me. and i mean, god. people are so stupid!!!!!!! her dad told her that he and her mom were getting divorced in the effing MORNING. so she had to come to school alone, with that stuck in her head. she totally couldnt focus on anything. i mean, who could???? and her dad also told her that she had to choose.
dad: hey hunny, your mom and i are getting a divorce.
kid: wha..what??
dad: yeah, so hurry up and CHOOSE who you want to live with. i mean, its not like its a decision that effects your whole life and relationships and just about EVERYTHING.
MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!! what is it with people these days. i guess i was naiive in thinking that here in holland and in my school there would be no divorces or murders or bullying and stereotyping or whatnot. but hell i was so wrong. i mean, some ppl are really mean here. like that whole esl thing someone said to me? i mean, OUCH. but its so common here to walk down the halls in my school and hear stuff like this...

and i know that if 2 people arent happy together, then they have everyright to split. but break it to your kids in a nice way!
