My Midweek Weekend
Ah, I have today and tomorrow off from work, which means that this is like a weekend for me and today is my Saturday. Even though I feel like I should use this free time to write or do something productive, I have decided to take a different route. This morning I went out to Target and bought Season 1 of "Heroes" and a big box of Junior Mints and, well, my day pretty much is set.
I have never actually seen a full episode of "Heroes," even though I wanted to watch it. That is why I bought it. I bought a TV show to watch for the first time. But I am sure I will like it. Erin-kun says it's great and I trust her. Plus, Hiro is so cute. Now I will be all ready to watch Season 2. Next Tuesday, Season 3 of "The Office" comes out and I want to get that, too. Although I have already seen all of those episodes, many of them twice.
Something good happened at work yesterday when I found out one of my coworkers is also in fandom. She is into SF, though, not manga/anime. But she knows all the lingo and she reads fanfiction. It's great that there is someone else like me there.
Oi! But the big news that I have somehow failed to share, is that my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew and niece have moved in with us so they can save up to buy a house. It will be for about six months, but boy will it be a long six months. I think I'm going to have to get cable in my room or else I will never get to watch it again. I have been hiding in my room a lot more than usual. Now, I know that I probably sound like such a bitch right now. I really don't hate my niece and nephew, they just get really annoying for long periods. Also, the upstairs bathroom (which I would normally use) is still in the middle stages of remodeling and is thus out of commission. Two bathrooms with that many people is bad. And I always have my fingers crossed that I will be able to do a load of laundry when I need to.
These Junior Mints are really good, but man, I have got to cut down on the sweets so I can look cute in a strapless bridesmaid gown next April. I am getting chunky... well, chunkier...
