1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?:
Had a serious relationship. Had sex. Yeah, that's right, I wasn't getting any until 2010.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Yeah, I kept 'em. In 2011 I want to bake more, focus on beauty, and read more books. Resolutions that are things I would try to do anyways like do well in school or be healthier don't count in my books.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My one and only sister.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope.

None.
6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
Um... high self-esteem!
7. What dates from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
March 31st (got letter that said I got into graduate school), June 30th (my first date with Ed), December 9th (my break-up with Ed).
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Completing my first semester of grad school and getting straight A grades (okay, only two classes, but still). Getting a part-time job that pays for my car and I actually kind of like.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Getting my heart broken like a fool.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just the aforementioned broken heart.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My iPad, but I still need to learn how to use it to its fullest potential.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Everyone who contributed to repealing DADT.

Repugnicans and the ignorant schmucks who voted for them.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Car payments. Car insurance. Car maintenance.

Being in love and having it returned for the first time ever.

I had high hopes of this being the first New Year I would actually kiss someone, but now that that's off I will probably just drink and chill with my family.

For realsies.

No, I already hated the damn repugnicans.

The Magicians by Lev Grossman (sequel coming out next fall!), and The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins

Glee and its autotuned guilty-pleasure-joy.

A job. A boyfriend. Into grad school. Good grades.

To not get dumped. Also, health insurance.

Inception. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

It was my 26th, had takeout and White Russians.

If I felt more optimistic about the future.

I still can't afford new clothes and a lot of my old stuff is now too big.

Love, for a while. My family, as always.

The demanding of unnecessary tax cuts for the wealthiest 2%. DADT.
