fangirling over a Bleach filler arc? how can this be?
I am up late and posting late tonight. Why I am up: I was watching episode 230 of Bleach. Why I am posting: It was strangely awesome.
Now, I have to preface my fangirling by stating, for the record, that I do not normally watch the Bleach anime. It can never match the character and artistry of the manga so I do not bother. But when kiyuu told me about this filler arc, I knew I had to check it out. And the first episode was pretty damn cool. All the zanpakutou are transformed into their anthropomorphic states and turned against their wielders. Tobiume is just so awesome. She is sort of the impassive waif girl type, but she has these two enormous bells on her costume and when she spins around fireballs shoot out of them.
I think I might watch this as long as it is this good. It's a storyline that I won't see drawn much better in manga form.
Oh, but if there is any hint of pairing up Tobiume with Hyourinmaru, not only will I have to stop watching, I might also have to... what was that phrase again? Oh right, choke a bitch! My utter, bile-spewing, bowel-clenching, teeth-gnashing hatred of all things Hitsugaya/Hinamori does indeed extend to their zanpakutou.
But as long as that doesn't happen I am pretty stoked about this filler arc. Yay!
