lol well.. today. My my my...
Okay, so we have this marathon basketball thing today, JV and V girls and JV and V boys. Four games that started at 2p. And Amy and I were slated for the JV girls game on cotton candy, and since we were first, we thought we'd come early to get the show on the road, get the candy goin' and so on. Okay, so I got up 'round 10.3a, got on.. checked eMail and so on, took a shower.. so, 'round noon, I was bored, so I went to up to my room to read The Ropemaker. Next thing I know it, I'm up on my bed, engrossed in the book and the phone rings, my first instinct is "what time is it?", 1.35p.. "OMG! That must be Amy!!". So I raced downstairs, not caring to be quiet, because mom was gonna have to get up to take me anyways, if I could give her any sort of warning that she's gonna have to be up soon, might as well be now was my figuring.. Get downstairs and it's dad.. so I go up and wake mom, quickly dried my hair, brushed it, put on socks, grabbed money, the cellphone and putting on shoes.. generally running everywhere and getting ready when I should have been there. Finally, mom's up, we're on the road and I'm there.
The next five hours or so were uneventful. I went.. did the cotton candy thing, sold a bit, sang the National Anthem [sounded great I think -- What do you think Schwanny?], took over the cotton candy again at half time of the Varsity girls' game 'cause Mariah and Chels wanted to watch the game.. I learned how to txt on the cellphone ^_^! Didn' know that it could do that. So I txt'd Trish -- who didn' know it was me -- and fooled with her a bit [might have to borrow the phone for some days]... watched the JV boys game, helped a bit here and there and then went back and worked during the Varsity game. We finally got to the point where we weren' gonna make anymore, so we kinda abandoned the whole venture and watched the last quarter of the Varsity Boys game.
OMG. We played Towner and holy shit. That's all I got to say. holy shit. It was a very close game. The first three games were ours, but the last game was very tight. And here's the clincher, Towner was leading when the fourth quarter buzzer went off. They were leading by a point. But then a foul was called. And Jake got two free throws. The whole Surrey side was screaming and cheering like mad. Gotta pity Britt's boyfriend [on the Towner team -- she's my classmate] 'cause he's the one who fouled. So Jake made one of the free throws. Over time. And it was really close, but they finally won. God, we were just.. It's amazing that the roof didn' fall in with all the screaming, stamping, cheering, clapping, ect.
I'm a bit mad at the Towner youngin's, 'cause when we had possession, they'd howl. So this steady howl would just fill the gym. I wanted to walk over there, smack 'em all 'cross the head and tell them to have some sportsmanship.
