I ain't got ten minutes, you better get me good

So it's been an interesting week.

I did something I really shouldn't have. Nothing major...but still. I think the fact that I enjoyed it, makes it even worse. Grrrr. It's been on my mind ever since. I should have known better.

So YES, I did end up making it to the Block Party on Saturday. Not one friend could go with me, so I went by myself. Surprisingly I had the BEST TIME. It was strangely empowering to drive up to Seattle alone, watch the bands I wanted to see and then leave when I wanted too. I didn't feel lonely or weird, it was just really nice. I had to work in the morning, so I missed some of the bands I wanted to see (The Epoxies and The Divorce), however I did get to see parts of Visqueen, the last few songs of Hint Hint's set, a bit of Cobra High, all of Minus the Bear and all of Pretty Girls Make Graves. It was a blast, although it was too fucking hot.

I drove back to Olympia after Pretty Girls because I was a bit worn out, but got my second wind after arriving home and eating something. I decided to head out to the Rilo Kiley show at the Backstage which I probably shouldn't have. I left early because it was honestly...a tad boring. I guess I wasn't in the mood after all the excitement during the day. But at the same time, what I stayed for was nice. I sat up in the balcony and relaxed, and almost fell asleep. Which is what I needed, to just wind down.

Tonight is going to be a crazy party at the Brotherhood in Oly with Erase Errata and Shoplifting among others. I'm still feeling a bit out of it from yesterday, but I should be there. YOU SHOULD BE TOO!
