I have decided come to the realization that I need to stop reminding myself everyday just how much I hate living in VA (not metro accessible and an hour commute to work that is right in the heart of the city) and that I should take down the count-down that I have created for when my year lease ends, July 10th to be exact. Instead, I have come up with a plan. I am going to budget very well and then as soon as my lease ends, get a studio in d.c. In the mean time, I'm going to continue to do what I did this weekend, which was to just not come home and sleep at friends' places. Granted, I did really need a shower by the time I got home on Sunday night but this weekend was by far the happiest I have been since living out here...I went to NYC public elementry and junior high, which has turned me into someone who can't live anywhere other than a city.
