I really need two websites made. Anyone looking to earn some noteriety, and no money whatsoever? ;) I used to think it was my thing, but now I realize it so isn't.
Well, a quick review of both sites brings a couple of things to mind:
There are free hosting alternatives to Angelfire that don't have banner ads. Better yet (though I know your budget isn't exactly huge), there are many, many good hosting plans at under $5/month, which allow a great deal more flexibility in layout - and don't show potentially embarrassing ads. In fact, you can just get hosting at GoDaddy (to go along with the domain registration) for under $5.
It looks like you're trying to subvert blogspot's function, with an accompanying reduction in readability. It's just not... normal... to have your resume as a blog entry...
So, the first thing I'd suggest - and I realize it involves spending money, which flows not like water - would be to get an actual hosting account, probably at GoDaddy, and register tmwwriting.com. It looks like I can pull the same .htaccess shtuff I do on my own host (I'd recommend them, but they charge $25/mo), and set it up so you're invisibly hosting both domains from the same account.
Then, there's the question of whether you actually think I can help. The main sites I've designed are korkaraoke.com, which I think has an organization that might work better for your business site, my dad's site at frank-rogers.com, and the King of Clubs site. They're all pretty simple, and if they don't work for you, then you might want to ask someone else - and you fortunately have a couple of other people willing to help.
I also suspect that you have a better idea of what you want than you've said so far. You have a fairly unique style, and certainly better writing skills than I could ever hope for. And I also have a remarkable lack of spare time (though I should talk. I don't have a baby...). In both cases, the best thing in general is if you outlined how you'd like the site to be organized, and at least a rough idea of how it should look. I can, for example, mock up something on my own site to match your description, and we could try refining from there.
Turningpointdance.org is currently on go daddy....i hate that it has that stupid go daddy strip of an ad up top. but yeah....lame. it's okay, i can find someone with more spare time, but thank you!!!!
