the perfect grater
While loading the dishwasher I remembered a dream I had last night about looking for the perfect cheese grater at thrift stores. Although the house needs a new cheese grater, it hasn't really been on my mind, so I tried to analyze what else it could mean...Maybe it means that I have some big problems, like a big block of cheese, and I need to break them up into smaller, more manageable pieces. I remember deciding on a grater that had very large holes and sharp ridges for easily and perfectly shredded cheese. Maybe I'm trying to find the perfect solution for my problem(s) but it's going to be a bit of a search...
I wonder if I come up with metaphors for my dreams WHILE I'm dreaming or AFTER...is the metaphor inherent, or do I give my dreams meaning after the fact, when in reality they are just random synapses in my brain firing?
