and now

Back home again yesterday afternoon.
Left Camp with the boy to drop gear and have a short rest at his home then drove into Richmond to see the nephew between military engagements for the day, then Thursday off on a 9 hr drive to another camp - this time to recert the WFR. I usually have a good time with sort of thing but really for the past several years have felt the need to move up into WALS - just have not had the opportunity to do so. Only to find out from the instructors that most of the WALS courses are not even listed on the WMA website - wretched pigs - this in addition to not sending me the precourse materials at all much less in a timely manner. Took another rest day then came home. Felt a bit under the weather only to awake this morning with some sort of viral entity lodged in my throat and curled about my head. Buggy eyes almost out on stalks, squeaky voice, pasty complexion - that would be me - no ideas about what the viral entity actually looks like. Looks like today will be a rest up for work tomorrow type thing rather than a catch-up day for all that should have gotten done while I was away and did not. Lots of iced tea and perhaps a tuna sandwich - must be prepared to fight off the insane inbred feral battlecat and her partner in crime the amazing walnut brained shadrach dog.

But I had some fun at Camp and hope to catch-up with several folks I had the opportunity to reconnect with while there. Time is really so very limited while at Camp should be a full week to ten days - don't you think?
