Well, the Lion's Club gig went rather well. Only mistake was during "If I Only Had A Brain." In the third verse, the Lion's part, I managed to bungle the lyrics, combining the second half of the second verse with the first half of the first verse. I then jumped to the third and last verse to substitute for the second, sung the chorus, and ended the song. I really don't think anyone was the wiser, considering I doubt many people know the song by heart. I also chose to omit the U2 segue in "Imagine" for time constraint reasons, and I wasn't comfortable with it last night as well.

Reaction was extremely positive. I was told I had a lovely singing voice. To which I responded I normally don't sing. I was then told they didn't understand why as I had "a real talent for it." I was also told by one gentleman that the music was very nice and very thought provoking. I talked about the songs a little bit as I said I would, and hence, the comment I think. So, in the end it was a lot of fun to preform solo, and I have the feeling I will be asked back.

I am currently playing some poker online, killing time, waiting for K's tire to be repaired. She ran over a sheet metal screw a while back. So, I dropped the tire off, and I decided to come home unload the PA and equipment. Here in a little bit I will pick up the tire and then Ivo, and come back home and relax, while Ivo takes his nap.

Today is really overcast. Cooler than yesterday. Wish it was like this yesterday afternoon, when I decided to finish up mowing the yard and clearing out brush and overgrowth. I have a bunch of downed trees I need to trim the limbs off and cut into fire wood. Suppose I could do that this afternoon, but I have the feeling I will wait until tomorrow afternoon.
