My friend Meaghan (bloody_l) has written a very awesome story. It depicts what will happen to us in the very near future. When you read this you'll probably think we're crazy and are in deep need of therapy, but we don't care what you think. Here is the lovely story. Just to let you know, I'm Amanda in the story.

I met Tre on a cold, windy, snowy, really not very
nice November day. Not at all uncommon for Vancouver.
Well the snow was but I’m getting off track. My
friend, Amanda, had decided that I needed love.
Desperatly. So she set me up with someone. This made
no sense to me as I was living with my
friend-with-whom-I-had-a-drunken-one-night-stand-when-I-was-16-and-now-have-a-daughter-with,
Jesse. But Amanda said the guy was one of Billie
Joe’s, her husband, friends. This meant one thing to
me. Not nerdy.
My friends must have thought I lived a pathetic
exsistence because my other dear friend, Alyssa, had a
tendancy to also set me up. With nerds. And not even
the good kind. The computer, really more a geek than
anything type. Not cool.
So anyway, Amanda was going to pick me up and we were
going to meet Billie Joe and Mike (blind date guy) at
a club. This was good. Clubs are better than
restraunts when you don’t know the guy. The fact that
if worse came to worse Amanda would be there and I
could leave with her was completly overlooked. By me
at least.
So the night came and I was dressed in a very cool
black skirt aith chiffon and buckles and it was
fabulous and ablack and green corset. My hair (mid
back, layered, slide bangs, black with blue streaks)
was down and if I do say so myself (and I do) I looked
good. Well, okay at the very least. Actually, Amanda
said so too when she picked me up.
“That is the perfect outfit,” Amanda nodded
approvingly.
“Thank you dahling,” I said. “I’ll be there in one
second, I need to talk to Jesse.”
I left Amanda standing in the door and walked into
the living room area of our apartment. Jesse was
sitting an the couch looking panicked and Shannon (one
year old) was stacking blocks on the floor.
“Jesse? You’re sure you’ll be okay?”
Jesse stood up. “Ye- No! I have no idea what I’m
doing! What if I hurt her? What is she hurts me?”
I sighed. I was used to Jesse’s outbursts. They were
the reason I rarely left Shannon alone with Jesse.
Jesse was paranoid. “If you hurt her call 911, or
Alyssa. If she hurts you call Ripley’s. She’s one. She
won’t do anything. Now have fun.”
I kissed Shannon and waved good-bye to Jesse. I
turned back to Amanda. “Okay, let’s go.”
We walked out the door and Amanda drove to a very
cool club, Dark Passion or something retarded like
that. As we drove Amanda gave we the run down of what
was going to happen.
“So Green Day is performing and then we’re going to
hang out with the guys. Tre will probably be there
too, so that should make it easier. It’ll be more like
hanging out with friends.” Billie Joe is vocals/guitar
guy for a very world famous punk-rock band called
Green Day.
“Hanging out with friends while ffour of the friends
are dating/married to each other and the other is a
fifth wheel?” I commented.
“...Shut up Meag.”
At that moment I realised something. “Wait... Amanda,
did you set me up with Mike. As in Mike Dirnt. As in
the bass player for Green Day?”
“Yes...”
“Amanda, remember when you tried to set me up with
Jason?” Jason White was a backup guitar player for
live shows.
“Yes.”
“Do you remember what I said about dating band
members?”
“Well yes but-”
“Nothing has changed.”
“Well we can’t go back now. They’re expecting us and
I won’t let you back out.”
“You suck! He doesn’t even wear eyeliner!” I groaned.
“Would that make it better?” she asked in this weird
tone of voice she uses alot.
“Yes!” I cried.
“Eh well too bad we’re here,” Amanda shrugged,
practically shoving me out of the car.
“Damn you Amanda.”
Amanda sighed and dragged me into the club. She
shoved me into a booth table thing in a back corner of
the club. We watched Green Day preform. It was good.
It always is. Then Billie Joe, Mike and Tre came to
sit with us. And Amanda kissed BillieJoe and I groaned
because I knew it would last forever and I would have
to force myself to make polite conversation until it
was over.
Okay well, you have to understand that Amanda and
Billie Joe had been married for a year and they were
very much in love. So much it was sickening. To me at
least, and by the look on Tre’s face, to him too.
Though that could be jealousy. Everyone knows Tre
loves/loved Billie Joe. Okay so that’s not true, but
it is in my head.
So after Amanda and Billie Joe are done being
sickeningly cute together Amanda turns to Mike.
“Mike, this is Meag. Remember her?”
He turned to me. “I do, actually.”
“Charmed I’m sure,” I sighed.
Amanda kicked me under the table. “Be nice,” she
hissed.
“Okay you know what, no!” I hissed back.
It was only then I realised (and yes I am slow) that
I was sitting between Amanda and Tre. Why was I not
sitting next to Mike? Eh who cares. This just made it
all the better. Billie Joe turned to me.
“Meag, you remember Tre right?”
I turned to Tre. “Yup!” Insert big smile here. Insert
kick form Amanda here.
Tre looked at me. “Charmed I’m sure,” he sighed in a
mocking form.
It was then I knew I loved him. Well not really, but
it was then I knew that I liked him a Hell of alot
more than Mike. No offense to him. Me and Tre spent
the rest of the night talking while Billie Joe and
Amanda creeped off somewhere to do something dirty and
Mike went to hit on poor helpless girls.
“So how do you know Amanda?”
“I met Manda in grade 6. We’ve been best friends
since,” I responded.
“Now... Amanda said something about you having a
daughter. Truth, lie or joke?”
“Truth. She’s one, her name is Shannon.”
“Now that small talk is over and done with, wanna
dance?”
I thought about it for a mom- Pfft. Wait I can’t even
finish that. Like I had to think about it, I nodded
and we went to the dance floor and started dancing to
Savage Garden’s Crash & Burn. And then the next thing
I know he’s kissng me. And it was great. And I loved
it.
