It's been a while since we've done one of these! New books have come out, new people have joined, but the fandom's gotten a lot quieter, so it's time to get chatting again and make some new friends ( Read more... )

how did you find out about PJO?: I've learnt to trust my best friend's little brother's taste in books!
favorite PJO/HoO characters, and why: Annabeth is my girl. I love that she's so tough and snarky but she cries at things that, you know, would make you cry. Nothing annoys me more than the equation of NO EXPRESSION OF EMOTION EVER with strength in characters (or, like, real people). I approve of the occasional shed tear.
favorite PJO/HoO books, and why: Difficult question, but I'm going to say The Last Olympian because it was just a really satisfying ending... and of course The Son of Neptune, because, Percy.
favorite moment from the series, and why: Such difficult questions! I think it's got to be after the Battle of Olympus and the gods are trying to be all generous and Percy just totally shuts them down and the gods are all like, 'wtf who do you think you are, puny demigod?' and Annabeth had her hands over her mouth. Her eyes were shining. And that kind of made up for it. ♥
the argo ii can't be your only ship in the series. name them!: Percabeth is my OTP forever. Basically I can jump on board with anything that written well... greenconverses, artemisrae and aimmyarrowshigh can pretty much get me to ship anything. The only ships I really don't like are Thalia/Luke and Percy/Luke... I just can't see how either of those relationships could ever be functional or healthy.
opinion on the movie(s): As an adaptation the film wasn't done very well, but I enjoy it as a separate text. I like Logan even though he plays Percy a little too cocky for my personal headcanon (though that could also be put down to the fact that they've aged up his character by so much) and I adore Alexandra Daddario. Her face is perfect.
rick riordan: trolliest troll to have ever lived, y/n?: YES. Tied with Steven Moffat, though, surely.
WHAT, YOU LIKE SOMETHING OTHER THAN PJO?
other fandoms: I'm not massively involved in fandom but I occasionally melt into a puddle of fangirly goo. This is usually due to one of the following: Doctor Who, the Gone series by Michael Grant (seriously, anyone? The fandom for this series is non-existent which is devastating because the books are awesome), Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, John Green's novels, The Kane Chronicles, One Direction, Taylor Swift, White Collar and Xena: the Warrior Princess.
other ships: Amy/Rory [DW], Sam/Astrid [Gone], James/Lily [HP], Carter/Zia [KC], Peter/Elizabeth & Neal/the world [WC], Xena/Ares [XWP]
do you make graphics/fanmixes/meta/fangirl/etc.?: I love writing but I'm terrible at actually finishing and publishing anything, so the majority of my fangirlishness is expressed through obsessive fanmixing.
AND FINALLY
tell us about your journal: In theory, 50/50 fandom/real life. Most fandom stuff is public.
recommend a book/movie/band/tv show: I've recently discovered the brilliance of Suits, and I'd always recommend anything written by John Green. Band-wise, I'm loving The Civil Wars.

anything else we forgot?: Basically, I try to balance all the pretentious literature I read for university with young adult fiction. I like history and travelling. Also cats. Be aware that tolerance of my undying to Taylor Swift will go far. I'm sometimes awful at replying to comments - but I always do eventually!

I see you're also into the Gone series! :D I read the first book last year but I haven't had time to get to the second one, will soon though! And Sam/Astrid all the waaaay~!

Gone is AMAZING and no-one seems to know it! You need to read the rest of the series so we can fangirl together! Sam's an amazing protagonist and ASTRID, fml I love her sfm and she gets all this hate on the Gone confessions tumblr which is ridiculous because seriously, she is amazing. AND the new book is coming out in LIKE A MONTH AND AHHHHH I'M SO EXCITED!

Ikr? I don't think Gone has had much exposure but once people discover it more it could probably be as big as PJO or even The Hunger Games. And of course, I'll get on the rest of the series right awaaay~ :)
