OH MAN I got super lucky last night -- I found out that my Kindle delivered early, and a friend checked and had his, too, and read slightly faster than me, so I was sitting around in a chatline going WHAT. WHAT THE FUCK.

I don't know if this is helpful, but I'm fairly sure you can convert Kindle files to epub online...
