"You're making a mistake," Rachel cautions, watching as Nico fiddles with his bow tie; she can't resist stepping forward to help him straighten it when he shoots her a helpless look. "You don't even love - "
"Maybe," he interrupts, voice low, catching her hands in his and squeezing, "but you're not the only one allowed to make eternal vows you'll live to regret."
Nico's words hurt, but not nearly as much standing off in the shadows, watching another woman in white glide down the aisle toward him does.
