If my feet hurt yesterday, my whole legs hurt today... :p

It's all good, though. This morning was my trip to the Royal Botanic Gardens. they were lovely, if a little bare. Evidence suggests that spring/summer is really the time to go, which isn't an option at the moment. Still, I enjoyed myself very much.

And the glasshouses which aren't affected by the seasons so much were beyond what I could have imagined, although at one point there was a breif moment of panic when I was in one of the more humid glasshouses and my glassses fogged over and I lost sight of the ground and nearly ended up in the pond. I suspect a couple of the pictures I took in that one are going to have some interesting effects because the camera lens fogged over too.

I was going to Grassmarket this afternoon, but in order to get there, unless I was willing to go ridiculously out of my way, I would have to pass through where my laptop was stolen/went missing. I decided I wasn't up to facing that today so decided that I might go to Holyrood park, but then decided I wasn't really up to that either.

So I spent the afternoon aimlessly wandering the streets, had a proper look at the Museum of Childhood and book a movie ticket for tonight.

Maybe taking it a little bit quiet is a good idea. I don't want to arrive home exhausted from my holiday.

Oh and a climbed Scots Monument today. Or mostly climbed it. The stairs up get narrower and narrower the higher you go up, and by the second set my head was nearly at the roof and my arms were brushing the sides and I kind of freaked out a little. So I went down again.

Random point. This internet cafe is using desk organisers as decoration. O.o

travel is awesome, edinburgh
