Amusingly, it being the DAY that fireworks are acceptable, they are no longer going off in my neighborhood. They started about a week ago, and for the first night, the dogs went insane, running to the front door every time there was a ka-BOOM, or a SQUEeeeee, barking their heads off and bouncing at the front door. After a couple nights, they lifted their heads and growled vaguely, but last night, when EVERYONE on the block was setting off huge, professional-grade fireworks, nada. Their ears pricked up, maybe.
Mom's 4th plans - garden and eat hot dogs and blueberry and cherry pie.
B:"To show our patriotism?"
M:"Yeah!"
I have a date with Twink tomorrow to, like, get shit accomplished. We've got 4 pairs of jeans to do for my uncle, I want to make a fest chemise, and do some preliminary drawings for CON costumes next year. Also, want to put highlights in my hair. And Twink and I need to talk about moving plans; they've given notice and need to be out of the Box by July 31st.
I got audited by the IRS. ceilingsarecool gave me a clue and says it's because I worked as a canvasser/fundraiser for the opposing side for a summer. Grrr. Have to go to HR Block now and say, "Um, hel-LO?!"
