Writer's Block: A Posthumous Oscar for Joker?

 While I do think that Heath Ledger did an AMAZING job with this role, I'm not sure he's going to measure up to the other contenders (I don't even know who they are yet). I'm of the opinion that the Oscar ought to go to a LIVING actor, one whose career can benefit from the recognition. Heath is dead (long live the Joker), and while his performance was a delight to see, I'm not sure it's going to be the break-out ZOMG performance of the year, that I think the Oscar should be awarded for.
