Had another meeting with the thoracic surgeon at the U. He recommends surgery (imagine that). I REALLY don't want to have surgery, as there's actually NOT a guarantee it'll fix the problem, and there a 6 week recovery period. And they'd want to do one arm at a time.
I begged for another opinion, and went to Dr. Badroos at the Cottage Grove Allina Clinic. This is the 1st doctor in many, many months that has treated the fact that I'm in CONSTANT PAIN as a serious problem. I got prescribed an anti-inflammatory, and a pain medication, AND physical therapy. YES!!! I'm going to OSI in White Bear Lake, which is 5 miles from my house. I've got strengthening exercises and stretches. I get heat treatment and electrical stimulation. Feels SO GOOD.
I see a 2nd thoracic surgeon on the 28th, and I found him in the Mpls/St. Paul magazine top 100 doctors. I'll let y'all know what happens with that.
For now, I'm feeling MUCH better.
