Day off and moving
Friday was lovely. I took the day off, slept in a bit, did some moving, took the dogs to the groomers (yay clean critters!), had coffee with Mom, and moved some more. Max had an accident in my car, but it cleaned up well and now my car smells pretty. And at herp Society, I got a new snake! One of my very own. It's a beautiful corn snake, color morph called Candy Cane. Unsexed as of yet, a lovely peach color with red saddles and white rims. Red eyes. Pretty thing. Get to feed it tonight.
The rest of the weekend is a blur of pack, haul, move, drive, unpack. Large and grateful "woot" goes out to Terry and his LARGE van which saved us much time, pain and $ which otherwise would have to have been paid to movers. Boot-licking to follow shortly. :)
Yoric's "really old" (tm) party was Saturday. We took sugargerbil to ichiban's and witnessed the miracle of hir eating REAL FOOD. Then back to the gerbil's palce for Miyazaki "The Cat Returns" watching fun complete with booze. (I almost typed "boobs" - I was abruptly fascinated with my own once I got drunk. I don't get drunk often enough.)
The movers are currently at the house; I'm at work, I don't want to be part of that chaos. They're probably on their way to the new place - I would guess they'll be done by the time I get there. I hope.
Random WTF: The Dr's scale had me at 4 lbs less than the gym, and a coworker asked if I lost weight, not to mention my mom said I looked svelte. I haven't changed anything. Is this from stress? And why have I been drinking water like its going out of style?
