HO Hum Mother's day
Well, today was Mother's Day. Of course as luck would have it I got to work on this glorious day of all days. Oh well at least I didn't have to work all day. Just had to go in this morning at 9:00 and again this evening at 6:00. I guess I can't complain. I got a really nice ring from Rick and the kids. It's quite impressive to look at. Has nine diamonds in it, But it only comes to about half a carat. I don't know if I deserve it though. I guess I do, since I have always bought my own mother's day presents. Sounds kinda sad huh. Oh well, it's kinda nice being in charge of the funds. Makes me feel needed I guess. It can be a drag though. I wish I could stay home with the kids more. They aren't going to be around for long. I can't believe Ashley is already 15. She can be such a pain in the ass, but I have such great admiration and respect for who she has become so far. She has a great respect for herself and everyone around her and she doesn't feel like she has to fit in with the in crowd. I am so proud of her. Then there is Wesley oh my god he is going to be 10 years old this year. Man time really flies. He is learning alot of new things in his life right now. I just hope he can learn how to be respectful and kind and he gets in with the right group of friends. I really worry about him getting himself into trouble. But I guess every mother worries about that. I feel so old now. I will try to hang on to my youth as long as I can though, until my Ashley tells me it's time to quit.
