Yeeeediots!
The incompetency level of my colleague who will be assuming my duties when I leave is a-fuckin-mazing. Out of 100 payslips I prepared 85 for the month October, when it is supposed to HIS JOB to do it all, but of course I KNEW he was going to screw it up, so I step in and take MORE THAN HALF HIS WORKLOAD off his hands. He prepares 15 payslips. Of which 10 are wrong. He also continues to destroy at least 40 of the ones I prepared.
I come back from my super long MC to millions of phonecalls from angry personnel. It's been more than a week and the lines light up like they're christmas lights. Short payouts aside, I also have people still demanding for loans. And the payslips are a fucking mess. The lists I kept in order aren't anymore. Why? Because Mr Smart Alec does suicidal things like making amendments from an original file, instead of a copy. To think that I've always stressed importance in making copies BEFORE you meddle with anything.
It was discovered that there was a missing list that would justify $5k worth of payout. Me, being the totally anal person about record keeping, actually had a hard copy. Which saved our lives. But it didn't stop me from being pissed with the idiot. I'm still pissed with this idiot. Because he is an idiot, and my assistant will have a hard time working with him, because he can't seem to follow the system and she will end up cleaning up all his mess, which is already what we are doing now.
As much as I am sad to leave this place, I really can stand working with idiots my bosses insist on keeping.
Like that white elephant of a Senior Ops Manager who does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING everyday in the office. His pay should be nicely divided between my assistant and I, for without us, sadly, nobody knows how to check anything. Amazing really, because I made sure my record keeping isn't rocket science.
