Cambridge Again

Cambridge at Sunset
Originally uploaded by bluebus. I love visiting Cambridge, you'd think I would be fed up with it by now. But every time I go I find something new.

I've started dropping the car off near the Fen (or Lamas Land, they have some odd names for places in Cambridge). Google Earth says we walked 3.33 miles which isn't really that far but we managed a few camera shops, book shops and my favourite cafe. Actually it's always worth popping into "Martin's Cafe" if you manage to find it. They do great food and the coffee is excellent.

On this visit we saw a bride and groom being punted down the Cam. We saw the BBC recording the Carols at Kings College Chapel. We managed to "accidentally" wonder around Peterhouse's Deer Park, behind the Fitzwilliam museum where we saw a brilliant exhibition of Illuminated Manuscripts last month (it's still on, worth a visit).

I took this picture from the middle of the road as we were limping back to the car. It was quite a hike.
