Hey guys, it's finally here! The epilogue, happily ever after of Uncertainty ;) I hope y'all enjoy!

“How about Jessica?”
She shook her head.
“Joanna?”
She wrinkled her nose.
“Molly! Megan?”
“Gosh Jackson there are more letters of the alphabet than J and M! Just because your parents weren’t adventurous…how about we call her Paul!?” Ashley teased, smirking when he moved to swat her.
“Hey…mind the little one. You wake her up and I’ll strangle you.”
“You’re right.” He chuckled, moving to sit on the side of the hospital bed, gazing at their little daughter.
“Hard to believe she’s nearly four hours old…” He murmured, tucking a strand of Ashley’s hair behind her ear.
“Did I mention you were great?”
Ashley grinned tiredly, glancing to Jackson momentarily.
“You may have mentioned it...a million times or so.”
“I mean it though. I’m so proud of you. You gave us this little...miracle.” Jackson gazed back to the tiny newborn sleeping in Ashley’s arms. She was fast asleep, her tiny lips pouted and making a small sucking sound. Jackson took his finger, gently smoothing it across her tiny rosy cheeks, and down her little nose.
“She’s got your nose.”
“She’s got your eyes.”
“Nah…she’s all you darlin’, I’m going to have to beat the boys away from this little one.”
“Not if she doesn’t have a name.”
“Michelle Jackson Rathbone?”
Ashley laughed loudly, promptly biting her lip to stifle the sound. The newborn didn’t stir.
“That’s the least inventive name yet! Let’s just steal from family and not think of anything new at all.”
“Fine…so you don’t want ‘M’ or ‘J’?” Jackson pouted, gently tracing his fingers through the small tufts of hair on the baby’s head.
“No, no ‘M’ or ‘J’. Or ‘A’ for that matter.” I want her to have something that’s just hers.”

“Can you believe it’s been a year tomorrow? A whole freaking year?” Jackson exclaimed quietly, pulling the covers back and wrapping his arms around his now real wifey.
“You’ve been saying that all day, you’re starting to sound like a broken record!” Ashley giggled, squirming away as she pouted.
“And your hands are cold. Please tell me you weren’t touching her birthday cake!”
“Don’t worry, the cake’s fine, it’s covered in that container thing so the ice cream bit doesn’t taste like freezer. I was just making sure we have enough ice for tomorrow.”
“Oh. Ok.” Ashley smiled, her lips meeting Jackson’s as she snuggled close to him.
“It’s been one hell of a year, hasn’t it?”
“Sure has…” He replied, playing with the wedding band on her finger.
“Did you check on her?” Ashley asked, her fingers toying with Jackson’s wedding band too.
“Sure did. Sound asleep. She looks just like you when she sleeps.”
“You always say that. She sleeps like you, limbs splayed all over the place…” Ashley teased, kissing Jackson softly. He chuckled, smirking against her lips as she sighed softly.
“Sleepy?”
Ashley nodded, ducking her head as she yawned.
“Then sleep darlin’, peanut’s not going to sleep late tomorrow.”

True to Jackson’s words Ashley was woken just after six by a whining noise coming through the baby monitor. She smiled, nudging Jackson awake.
“Hmm…time’s it?” He mumbled.
“Time to go wish our daughter a happy first birthday!”
Unusually awake, they rushed into the dimly lit fuchsia bedroom.
“Happy birthday Evie!” Ashley smiled, quickly scooping her daughter to her, soaking in her lovely baby smell. Jackson embraced his wife, gently running his hand through his daughter’s short, dark unruly curls.
“Happy Birthday Evie-bunny.”
He chuckled as she whined still.
“I don’t think she cares it’s her birthday, I think she just wants her bottle. I’ll be right back.”
Ashley nodded, rubbing Evelyn’s back.
“I’ll change her diaper.”

“S’up? How’s my favorite hot Momma?”
Jackson chuckled. Their friends had begun to arrive for Evelyn’s party, and it was obvious that Kellan was at the door.
“I’m fine, but you’re only coming in if you brought her present. And it had better not be a puppy!”
“Relax Ash, that was a joke!”
“Well I never know with you, do I?” She teased, taking the box from Kellan’s arms before he enveloped her in a hug.
“Where’s the proud Papa? More importantly, where’s my little Evie-bear?”
Ashley giggled, pointing through to the den.
“They’re in there.”
The house quickly filled with their friends, co-workers and loved ones. Everyone gushed over how much Evelyn had grown, and how much she looked like Ashley. They all laughed when the birthday girl nodded off after only an hour, but even with the guest of honor asleep the party was a huge success. As the guests were heading out Ashley stopped her parents to talk to them.

“Are you sure you guys don’t want to stay here tonight? Jackson can take you to the airport in the morning.”
“Oh no darling, we wouldn’t want to impose. You guys need your space, and besides all of our stuff is at the hotel.”
“Mom I told you to stay here in the first place, we really wouldn’t have minded. We have lots of space, and a lot of time to ourselves.”
Jackson hung back, taking a beer from the fridge as he watched Ashley embrace her mom.
“You know sweetheart we never thought we could be prouder of you than when things took off with Twilight, but when we see you with Jackson, and Evie…we really couldn’t be prouder.”

Jackson smiled, emotion welling inside him. He had no doubt his wifey would be sniffling right there with her mom. Michelle was right though. Twilight was something they were lucky to be a part of, and everything that came along with it. But Evelyn was something they had created, along with the perfect home, and so far the perfect marriage. If the rest of their lives carried on like this, Jackson was going to be one happy man.
