everyone has different personality types. recently, i learned of a distinct way to categorize people based on their actions and reactions. If you think about it, once we get down to the core of ourselves, we are primal and pure, and animalistic in reality. There are 4 animal types: bull, owl, tiger, and lamb.
The bull's general stance is standing with the arms crossed. He is very "get to the point" in nature, and tends to be responsible and organized. He does not like to waste time with little things, and does not often get along well with lamb personalities. An example of a bull would be: when asked for the time, he tells you the time and that's it. Bulls generally stick to their guns, and are good at resolving conflicts by smoothing them over and generally can get short with people. However, they're very loyal, protective, and can figure out a solution and take charge over something.
An owl's general stance is to stand/sit with chin resting on a closed fist (as an owl would perch on a branch). They're somewhat reserved, enjoy taking things apart to figure how they'll work, and will invest a lot of time in preparation. Scholarly and thoughtful, owls tends to think about what they want to say before they say it. They invest time into thought and tend to find their energy from themself. Talking out things definitely appeals to owls more than sheer action for the sake of action. If one asks an owl for the time, generally an owl would tell the time and also how the clock was made, where the idea generated from, etc. Owls tend to think a lot, but when they do say something it usually is worth hearing.
Tigers are very active. Extroverts at heart, they like being the center of attention. They oftentimes talk with their hands, and put a lot of passion into their life. They lead their life by their hearts, and tend to see things that others don't. General tiger stances are talking with hands, or a lot of movement. Tigers can be looking in all directions, commenting on the birds, people, or cars, pointing at things, but then be able to repeat the entire story that you just told them. Sometimes they tend to get too excited over something that they don't look before they leap into a problem. They put their friends in front of them, and will stick to their morals when questioned. If you ask a tiger the time, the tiger will answer, but also tell you that you have a nice watch, and what movie to go see tonight and what book they just read. Tigers are full of appreciation, but love attention.
Finally, lamb personalities are very in tuned to other people. They are very soft-spoken and don't want to offend anyone. They tend to worry a lot about things, and want to make sure that everyone is okay. Lambs also put a lot of heart into their actions, and tend to see past false smiles. They can read between the lines and tend to give advice to people with problems. A lamb's stance is generally one of nervousness, such as biting nails or twirling hair. If you ask a lamb for the time, they'll respond with the time then ask you if you're okay with that. Lambs are good role models, because they look out for other people. They also are good at organizing their time, and tend to be less spontaneous.
Everyone has two animal personalities. One the dominant, and one is the recessive. i personally am a Tiger-lamb. I enjoy being an extrovert, and I notice that I tend to care a lot about other people and help them to stick to their morals. My life is definitely led by my heart, and I generally don't want to offend other people. I find myself to be a combination of organized and an organized mess. I do have the attention span of a gnat, but I also can concentrate when someone wants me to concentrate fully.
Fun facts: it is possible to be the same animal for the dominant and recessive personality....Everyone can act like the other personalities very well, however they generally resort back to the two they are the most......When dealing with business, it's often most affective to play to the animals of the other person, because people get along with other people who have similar/same animal personalities.....People usually marry/date someone of the exact same or exact opposite personality....
so yeah, that's what i've been thinking about lately...if you'd like to do me a favor and respond to this, i'd love to hear what everyone thinks they are in terms of their dominant/recessive animal. It's just something I'm interested in, and I'd like to know what is it about yourself that makes you think that way?
