I like my icons a lot and I am a total icon snob so this meme makes me happy.
1. Reply that you wish to take part, and I will pick four of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee!
everything i can remember (i remember wrong)
lyrics from Daughters of the SoHo Riots by The National.
Mal and Simon. I just love the look on Mal's face here and the way Simon's head kind of tilts toward him as he's walking around him, this kind of predatory circling. I feel like the way they're turned here says a lot about both of them and their relationship to each other. Also, I like the cropping.
watch the human card castle fall
lyrics from a song by Pete Bernhard or The Devil Makes Three (I can't for the life of me remember which at the moment)
Dean Winchester. My S1 Dean icons make me feel all nostalgic. I think this one's from Something Wicked. But, anyway, the hand over the face, the ring, such a classic Dean gesture. And it gives me pleasure when I get to use this icon at actual facepalm moments.
never did what we ought to
lyrics from It’s Been A While Since I Was Your Man by Matthew Good
Jack and Ianto. Their first "kiss," (onscreen, anyway). Jack doesn't know how to give proper CPR but it is hot. Jack's hand on Ianto's neck makes me all flaily and the warm colors make me think of sex even if the actual situation that's happening doesn't (mostly). Also, I feel the lyric and the song are very apt.
It could be Jack in the future. Oh, they are full of tragic goodness.
oh we mumble loudly
Lyrics from Blame it on the Tetons by Modest Mouse (though it's the Josh Ritter cover that I love best and think of when I look at this).
Ianto Jones. No one does eye-rolling quite like Ianto, especially with the pink shirt, it adds to it somehow. I also get great satisfaction out of using this one in appropriate situations. Also, I love the strange purpley light.
That was not the most coherently descriptive bit of descriptions ever. Hanging out with awesome people all weekend is exhausting, but in the best way possible. I am spacey and content.
Just watched Ghostfacers and had me many a chuckle (and managed to distract T from his WoW playing by watching it next to him, thus proving that he does, in fact, quite like the show after all). Bleeping FTW! I didn't realize how much I missed the boys until I actually saw them on the screen again. I'm very much looking forward to there being more boys next week. Yes.
Stopped at the comicbook store on the way back from hanging with the peeps and got myself the first two issues of the new Serenity comic, the first issue of the new SPN comic, a Hellblazer trade written by Garth Ennis (reliable sources tell me it's the best) and Zombie Fluxx (which I didn't even know existed until I saw it sitting on the counter and then I had to buy it even though I'd already bought everything else) New comics make me happy. And now, the playing of the Zombie Fluxx.
